My dog is pregnant and is loosing her hair from her ears and top of nose why is that?

My dog is just a few days from having puppies, and today i noticed that hair from her ears was falling and was somewhat bald from them, as well as the top of her nose. My dog is a pure breed daschound

Could be a type of mange that can pop up if the dog is stressed, and pregnancy stresses a dog. It would be a good idea to get her checked by a Vet so you can treat whatever is causing this without putting your dog at risk. Also, the last half of pregnancy and while nursing, most need a diet higher in protein and fat. You could add some of the following to each meal: cottage cheese, scrambled eggs or lean skinless boneless meats or you could feed your dog a puppy food from the same brand you already feed her and then go back to the adult dog food diet when the pups are weaned. In any case, it would really be important to have her checked by the Vet so you don't lose her or the pups.
