The fish in my small 100 gallon tank, jump out of the pond, why do they do this?

We recently set up a small 100 gallon pond in our front yard. We have bull heads, blue gill. Up until yesterday, we have had no problems with these fish jumping out, this afternoon, while looking at the fish, we noticed that there were 4 or 5 of these fish laying on the rocks beside the pond. Can someone give me ideas or something else to keep my fish in the pond.

they are probably not used to being confined in such a small swimming area. Think of it this way you are used to living in a 2000 sq ft home, then all of a sudden you get crammed into a 5 x 5 closet, you are probably going to want to get out.
