Should I leave Drinkwell Pet Fountain Running at all times?

I just bought the platinum drinkwell fountain for my Pomeranian and I am concerned abut leaving it running at all times. Should I unplug it when me and my Pom and I spend the day out and no one is home to drink from it? What about at night? Should I just leave it running 24/7? thanks for any advise!

Yes, I leave mine running 24/7. Pretty sure if you don't then it can cause problems with the motor and the filter and all.

It won't harm it to leave it going 24/7. I've had mine for probably over 2 years now and it's still going strong.
