Looking for a tree or shrub to block neighbors dog?

I live in Michigan Zone 5. I have a small area (5ft) of my backyard I share with a neighbor and there is a little metal fence that his dog consistently peers through and barks constantly. Im not a dog hater Its just annoying that every time I come home or mow the lawn I have to deal with it. I just would like a shrub or tree idea to block his view!
I would like it to grow fast too so I can see results this year!

If you don't want a plant you could always install bamboo fencing. It's the stuff they sell in rolls. Cut it to the height you need and just roll it against the fence and secure with twist ties or zip ties. This will look good for a couple of years and then will need to be "fixed" (sags/rips).
