birds=best place?

i wan't to get a budgie by january(by my birthday) and i've read all the articles and everything for 2 weeks and i know how much time and money they take up,but i've decided to get one. i know this breeder who breeds budgies and rabbits and lovebirds and finches and chihuahua and goats and pigs and chickens and ducks and a cow. i was wondering if i should buy from her or from petsmart. she said she would have babies ready to go by january and they cost 16 $ but i was wondering what petsmart charges? and any other things i might of missed about budgies
hi everyone and thanx for your answers. i already have a 24' by 21' cage and i read that it is bigger than a normal sized cage, i might of wrote it wrong but i measured it right. and yes i know this breeder pretty well. all the animals she breeds never have any popp in them, it seems like she cleans them a lot. i got my rabbit from her and she is a very nice lady. she is kinda old. so what is the cheapest budgie?

Parakeet prices are much the same where ever you buy.
You are doing the right thing by reading as much information that you can, but don't stop reading as new information is continually coming out.
You must trust your own judgment when getting your parakeet, how well do you know the breeder, does she talk about her birds with confidence, although Petco has standards to keep up too, sometimes the staff do not know what signs to look for from lack of experience.
When you decide where to buy decide what colour you want and unless there is something very different that catches your eye stick to the colour you first picked and pick one that is not flighty, not aggressive to others, but moving about the flight with ease.
