I want to run a business making dog clothes?

I am currently unemployed but I want to run a business making and selling Dog Clothes (Rain coats, winter coats, jumpers etc) - How would I go about starting up something like this? I have made them before and had a lot of interest in the ones I have made for my own and friends pets, so although patterns would be useful, I need more how to start selling them as a business more than anything.

where i live there is a woman who goes around to thrift stores and buys old t-shirts ... she then cuts them down and makes doggy t-shirts ... she gets $50 a t-shirt !!! they are unique, cheap for her to make and every one is different ... i would be happy to email you a photo of some i have purchased for my dog ... one has a buddha and it says on it for good luck rub my tummy ... she has one with kermit the frog that says your pad or mine ... she has one that has the las vegas logo in glow in the dark ... every time i go by that store i want to buy a new one because they are all different ... depending where you live, if there are "boutique-type" pet stores, you can approach them and ask about selling your items, but this woman started her business just advertising the t-shirts on craigslist and then she got a store who would carry them ... you have a great idea as more money is spent on our pets than is spent on our children ... i make custom doggie duvets and it has been a nice little side business for me ... good luck :O)
