Can you spray paint CFL (Compact Fluorescent light bulb) flood light?

Has anyone spray painted a CFL (Compact Fluorescent light bulb) the flood light style. These generate little heat and was wondering if anyone has done this with success?

Looking to get a color which isnt the basic red,green or blue.

I have done some in yellow for outside bug lights …it worked just fine
Give it a try with the color you desire ….no big loss if it doesn’t turn out.
