Any advice for a new cat owner?

My sister and I are adopting cats from a shelter soon. We've always owned dogs since we were young so we're both brand new at this.

1. What main supplies do we need to buy for our cats?
We're getting a scottish fold and a balinese cat.

2. How do we groom them?

3. We live in an apartment complex so we dont have a backyard for them to roam free, do cats get sick of being inside all the time?
If so what should we do?? Do cats take walks?

4. Also what is the best litter box to prevent smell or prevent any litter spilling all over the floor?

I really need any advice! Thank youu!!!!!!

1 4 litter boxes and good quality wet and dry cat food
2 With a soft cat brush, if needed
3 Cats should be kept inside, average outside cat lives to 3
average indoor cat lives to 16
4.The box does not prevent odor, the litter does. Clean it daily and you'll be good
